Panther Island Pavilion Goes Punk!

COMING THIS MAY: The Punk in Drublic Craft Beer and Music Festival makes its way to Fort Worth! The festival’s namesake comes from the 5th studio album by the punk rock band, NOFX.

The traveling festival was spearheaded last year by the band’s main man Mike Burkett (a.k.a. Fat Mike) who formed the band in 1983 with guitarist Eric Melvin. Gen X’ers might remember NOFX most when mainstream success hit in the mid-90’s with the release of their Punk in Drublic album. Yep, these guys have been pounding out punk for over three decades.

The Punk in Drublic concert and craft beer fest kicks off their 6-stop tour on Cinco de Mayo in Austin. A second Texas show will be right here at Panther Island Pavilion on Sunday, May 6. The tour’s lineup includes Bad Religion, another classic punk band, The Interrupters, Mad Caddies and others that will take you back to punk days gone by.

Fat Mike has partnered with Stone Brewing for a limited release of Stone & NOFX Punk in Drublic Lager. Not only will the hoppy lager will be available at the festival, but also sold at local grocers, liquor and corner stores. The Bearded Lady, Flying Saucer, Mellow Mushroom and World of Beer are among just a few establishments in the 817 serving up the limited edition brew.

So, what do you say? Let’s go get Punk in Drublic! Tickets go on sale Friday, March 2 at 10am.
