Rockin’ the River wraps up its 6-week summer music and tubing festival at Panther Island Pavilion this Saturday and YOU are on the guest list! Five bands perform live on the Trinity River where all shows can be enjoyed from a tube or the shaded shore – absolutely FREE!
Gates open at 1:00 pm with a variety of music on the Coors Light Waterfront Stage – the only one of its kind in Texas. Fort Worth natives, Grady Spencer & The Work kick off the day-long music fest, followed by country artist, Jared Deck. Bringing some funk with a modern blues vibe are The Peterson Brothers from Austin. Then, hold on to your tubes as Rockin’ the River welcomes the return of Bart Crow as the festival’s headliner.
As the sun starts to set, the party drifts over to dry land around 8:15 pm. The O’s, a Dallas-based singer-songwriter duo, deliver their rocked-up folk sound to the South Shore Pacifico Stage. Afterward, guests will be treated to an extra special fireworks show that promises to wow the crowd with a signature ‘fire-bomb’ finale.
Other festival happenings include; on-site food vendors Salsa Limon, Texas Turkey Legs and Alchemy Pops. Cold beer, soda and water will also be available for purchase from this week’s Beer Slingers representing Vision Fort Worth and Need YPO. Tip them well, as all proceeds benefit their community cause. Need a tube? Bring your own or rent one – kayaks, canoes and stand-up paddleboards also available.
