Join us tonight as zie fest with zie best begins! Oktoberfest Fort Worth kicks off tonight as gates open at 5:00 pm and the official tapping of the keg ceremony will take place at 7:30 pm. Thursday’s entertainment lineup includes performances from Grammy Award-winning Brave Combo, Walburg Boys, stein hoisting competitions and much more. Gates open at 5:00 pm on Friday and the day’s activities will include the Young Professionals Olympics at 6:30 pm, traditional German dancers, performances from Third Generation, Off the Grid Band as well as stein hoisting competitions!
Saturday begins with a 5K, 1-mile fun run and a 15-mile bike ride along the Trinity Trails. The bike ride will be led by Fort Worth’s own Mayor Betsy Price. The gates will open at 11:00 am for a full day of traditional Oktoberfest activities. The dachshund parade will take place at 1:00 pm and will be immediately followed by the dachshund dash where 50 speedy weenies will race for the title of top dog. The afternoon and evening will be full of fun competitions like keg rolling, stein carrying and stein hoisting. Live music will include performance by Brave Combo, Alpine Village Band, AlpenMusikanten and more.
