Over 1,700 participants kicked off their Thanksgiving Day at The Shack at Panther Island Pavilion for the 2016 Holiday 5000 Thanksgiving Day Half Marathon, 10k, 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk. The Cox Running Club pulled out all the stops with free bounce houses for the kids, music, refreshments and random door prizes. Finishers received a custom finisher’s medal and long sleeve tech shirt, while the top 3 finishers in each 5 year age group received an additional award.
