This weekend, thousands of people will take to the trails to help end Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) at the JDRF One Walk. The annual event brings together North Texas families, friends and businesses who all band together to fundraise for this important cause. The Walk features a large children’s activity area, live entertainment, and the always popular Health & Wellness pavilion. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to take the first step towards a cure. Every step, every dollar brings JDRF closer to our goal of a world without T1D.

DANKE for a Great Time, Fort Worth!
Oktoberfest has come and gone and while we wish we could polka, chicken dance, stein hoist all day every day we hope these event photos will fill the void until next year. Mark your calendars now, we’ll be back for Oktoberfest Fort Worth September 21-32, 2017.
Oktoberfest Fort Worth Begins Today With Traditional Tapping of The Kegs Ceremony
Dust off your lederhosen, the 3rd Annual Oktoberfest Fort Worth is coming back to Panther Island Pavilion! The three day festival, presented by Spaten, will stay true to the traditional, Munich-style Oktoberfest with authentic German food, music and entertainment. The festival will take place at The Shack at Panther Island Pavilion. It will feature both indoor and outdoor biergartens including a main hall where authentic German beer, Spaten Oktoberfest, will be served and a biergaten which will serve fall and Oktoberfest craft beers from around the country.
Tonight the official Community Tapping Committee, consisting of elected officials and local community leaders, will come together to kick-off Oktoberfest Fort Worth with a traditional tapping of the kegs ceremony on the opening night of the festival. The ceremony will take place at 7:30 p.m. in Spaten Halle in The Shack at Panther Island Pavilion.
Cyclocross Comes to Panther Island
Our friends at Fort Worth Cyclocross have just announced a new race series which will take place at Panther Island Pavilion.
What the heck is cyclocross you ask? Well, cyclocross (sometimes called CX or ‘cross) is a form of bicycle racing. Races typically consist of many laps of a short ( 1.5–2 mile) course featuring pavement, wooded trails, grass, steep hills and obstacles requiring the rider to quickly dismount, carry and run with the bike while navigating the obstruction and remount.
It has been popular in Europe for years but recently it has really started taking off in the good ol’ US of A.
The action packed race series put on by FWCX will be an official USA Cycling sanctioned series on Tuesday nights from October 4th- November 22nd (except for a night off on November 8 because democracy). The event is sponsored and supported by local bike shops and sponsors. The series is family friendly, welcomes spectators, and will have races for kids, women, and men.
Rockin’ the River Saturday Series Finale!
Our patrons asked and we delivered. For the first time in Rockin’ the River history, folks can watch some great Texas Country music from a tube on a Saturday! The Saturday Series Finale will start at 1:00 pm this Saturday, August 13. Cooder Graw, Brandon Steadman, Aaron Einhouse and Statesboro Revue will play all day on the only waterfront stage in Texas and when the sun goes down there will be live music from the Southshore Stage at the after party. It is guaranteed to be a day filled with unbeatable live music, ice cold beer, tubing on the river, delicious food from Salsa Limon all in the heart of Fort Worth. Plus, the Coors Riverfront Ice House will offer shaded seating and live TVs so patrons can cheer on Team USA while they rock the river. As always, the night will close with a Texas-size fireworks show over the Trinity River.

Rockin’ the River Starts Tonight!
Due to high water velocity we won’t be tubing at Rockin’ the River tonight. However we’ll set up on the Southshore Stage so you can still enjoy the sun and beautiful riverfront views while listening to The Damn Quails and Joey Green. As always, we’ll have cold beer, delicious tacos from Salsa Limon and a badass fireworks show to close the night!
Get Crafty at Untapped
If you love craft beer, music or just having a good time then you won’t want to miss Untapped Fort Worth. The annual festival will feature 300+ beers from over 70 breweries. Grab tickets now, certain passes have already sold out!
Sunday Funday Cancelled
Due to recent rains the river is moving too fast and is unsafe for tubing. Don’t worry though, Sunday Funday will still happen EVERY SUNDAY this summer. We’ll just have to kick off the season next Sunday, June 19th.
