The Blast had a great turnout at Panther Island Pavilion on April 1, 2023. This family-friendly walk returned this year to help benefit the patients, families and staff at Cook Children’s Hematology and Oncology Center. There was an awesome turnout from the community for this out-of-this world event!
Walk MS: Fort Worth
We had a great turnout at Walk MS: Fort Worth on Saturday, March 25, 2023. Over $95,000 were raised from this event to help take a step towards a world free of MS. The walk began at 9:00am and attendees had the option of participating in the 1 Mile route or the 3 Mile Route.
In Her Boots 5k Run & 1 Mile Walk
Hundreds of attendees joined the Junior League of Fort Worth on January 21st for the In Her Boots 5k Run & 1 Mile Walk. This first annual event allowed individuals to choose between a 5k run and a 1 mile walk in their favorite cowboy boots. This unique event celebrated Fort Worth’s western heritage and had a great turnout!
2022 Panther Island Pavilion Recap
2022 was a year full of fan-favorite events ranging from concerts, festivals, runs and bike rides! We had a wide variety of returning events as well as exciting new events that brought hundreds of thousands of attendees to Panther Island Pavilion. Check out our highlights below:
- We had an action-packed selection of NEW events for people to enjoy this year at the Pavilion! Attendees ate their hearts out at the Fried Chicken Festival, Syndicate Smokedown and Tacos & Tequila Festival. Then, concertgoers gathered to enjoy SLANDER for the first time at the Pavilion.
- Several nationwide festivals found their home here this year. Ubbi Dubbi, Texas’s premiere electronic dance music festival, returned in April. FitCon hosted its premiere fitness expo in June. Also, Water Lantern Festival had a spring and fall event that was filled with live music, vendors and a magical lantern launch.
- This year we got our steps in during our bike, walk and run events. The Blast, March for Babies, Tour de Cure, Bike MS Round Up, Justice Run, Fort Worth Marathon and Pumpkin Spice were all events that brought the need for speed to the venue.
- Cody Johnson & Friends performed another SOLD OUT show in October. This live performance featured Cody Johnson with special guests Randy Houser and Hailey Whitters. Over 13,000 attendees were able to enjoy food, drinks, merchandise and amazing live country music with a gorgeous backdrop of Downtown Fort Worth.
- We rocked out to our favorite summer tradition, Rockin’ the River, for five straight weeks throughout July and August. The 11th Annual free weekly concert series was moved to Thursdays for attendees to enjoy their happy hour on the water. Throughout the series, hundreds of people jammed out to awesome live music on Texas’ only waterfront stage, ate delicious food and floated on the Trinity River.
- On July 4th, Panther Island Pavilion celebrated Independence Day at Fort Worth’s Fourth. Over 93,000 attendees came out to enjoy the festivities with their loved ones. Patrons got to enjoy live music, vendors, the free TRWD water stations, a cardboard slide, fireworks and more.
- The 103rd Veterans Day Parade assembled at Panther Island Pavilion on November 11, 2022. The gloomy weather did not stop people from coming out to celebrate this historic day. Spectators enjoyed watching the bands, ROTC units, floats and more.
- Backwoods Paddlesports, located at Panther Island Pavilion, increased recreation activities on the water by providing watercraft rentals for the 10th season this year. Renters were able to choose between canoes, kayaks or stand-up paddleboards to view and explore the Trinity River.
- The Fort Worth Bike Sharing B-cycle station offered individuals a chance to explore the Trinity Trails, Panther Island Pavilion, Panther Island and more. This activity increased the use of the Trinity Trails and brought more traffic to the area.
SLANDER
The American DJ/Producer duo known as SLANDER performed at Panther Island Pavilion on Saturday, November 19th. The setlist included other well-known artists such as Wooli, Leotrix, Nitepunk and Redline. Thousands of attendees gathered to hear this iconic duo that has sold out Red Rocks and played mainstage at global festivals such as EDC and Ultra.
Pumpkin Spice Half Marathon, 10k & 5k
This fan-favorite fall tradition returned to Panther Island Pavilion on Saturday, November 19th. Runners got to cruise along the Trinity River with shady paths and wide streets by participating in the Half Marathon, 10k and 5k! There was an afterparty in The Shack where participants could enjoy hot chocolate, Pumpkin Spice coffee, ice cold beer, Pumpkin Spice treats and great music.
Fort Worth Marathon
Hundreds of runners came out to participate in the Fort Worth Marathon on Sunday, November 13th. Participants could choose from the USA Track and Field Association certified Full Marathon, 20 Mile Race, Half Marathon or 5k. Following the races, runners got to enjoy hot showers, food trucks, music and more!
Tacos & Tequila Festival
Thousands of attendees came out to the Tacos & Tequila Festival on Saturday, November 5th. Throughout the day everyone got to enjoy an amazing LIVE music Throwback Lineup featuring: T.I., Lil Jon, Chingy, Baby Bash, Mike Jones, Petey Pablo, Twista and DJ Ashton Martin! Other festivities included Lucha Libre wrestling, a chihuahua beauty pageant, salsa & queso competition and more! Also, there was a huge selection of chef-inspired street tacos and hand-crafted margaritas.
Justice Run
There was an awesome turnout at the Justice Run on October 29th! Hundreds of individuals joined together to enjoy the music festival and participate in the races. The family friendly music festival included bounce houses, food trucks, vendors and great music! There were a variety of races, such as a Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10k and 5k. The funds raised from this event will go towards the building of The Justice Residences.
Water Lantern Festival
The Water Lantern Festival had an amazing turnout on October 22nd. This fan-favorite festival returned to provide another evening full of family fun with music, food trucks, lantern decorating and a gorgeous lantern launch. Gates opened at 4:00pm for families, couples and friends were able to find their spot at Panther Island Pavilion to enjoy the evening festivities. The lantern launch began at 7:00pm where hundreds of lanterns beautifully lit up the Trinity River for attendees to see.

2022 Tour de Cure: Texas
The 2022 Tour de Cure: Texas on October 15th, was a morning full of great bikers and great weather. The Tour de Cure is the American Diabetes Association’s largest fundraising and engagement event and this Texas event raised over $160,000 dollars. There was a 65-mile, 37-mile, 20-mile and 10-mile race for the participants to choose from.
