2020 Spring Events Update

Here’s a little good news for your day — Panther Island Pavilion spring events have rescheduled to another date. We have a jam-packed summer and fall schedule!

Below is the most up to date information on events that have had to make changes to their schedule based on recent restrictions on special events:

March for Babies will be launching a virtual event. Check on their event listing here for more info! April 18
Cowtown Cook-off and Music Festival rescheduled to August 28-29, 2020
Water Lantern Festival rescheduled to November 7, 2020
Syndicate Smokedown rescheduled to October 3, 2020
GOTEXAN Wine, Food & Art Festival rescheduled to October 30-31, 2020
River and Blues Festival rescheduled to November 13-14, 2020
Great Strides rescheduled to September 13, 2020

We are thankful that these spring events were able to reschedule and still take place this year. From everyone at Panther Island Pavilion – our thoughts are with the artists, vendors, production companies and everyone involved in the music and event industry that has been impacted by COVID-19.

Note: Events in March, April, and May of 2020 were rescheduled due to the state and local restrictions on special events and the recommendations by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) on preventing the spread of COVID-19.

Pick a Cause & Get Active at Panther Island Pavilion!

Check out the list of the walks/runs coming to Fort Worth! Register, create a team and/or donate to a cause today.

  • April 18 March for Babies – Join them for a three-mile, family-friendly walk as an opportunity to support March of Dimes as it continues to fight for the health of all moms and babies.
  • May 17 Great Strides – Great Strides provides a fantastic opportunity for family, friends, students, and colleagues to come together and make a difference for those with Cystic Fibrosis. Registration is free, but walkers are encouraged to raise funds.
  • June 13 Juneteenth Community 5K & Festival – Join the community as they celebrate with the 5K Walk/Run, Parade, Family-friendly entertainment including music concerts, and more!
  • June 20 Tour De Cure: North Texas – Join the movement to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes at Tour De Cure! Choose to ride, run or walk and enjoy a lunch and finish line party afterward.
  • September 19 St. Jude Walk/ Run to End Childhood Cancer – Join supporters in communities across the nation during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month for this family-friendly event that raises funds to support the lifesaving mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, where families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food.
  • September 26 Oktoberfest Run Und Ride – Oktoberfest Run Und Ride is a celebration in the heart of Fort Worth featuring 2 cycling and 2 running events. Riders will enjoy scenic views of Cowtown and celebrate at the Oktoberfest Fort Worth a German festival so authentic you almost forget you’re in Fort Worth.
  • October 17 Step Up For Down Syndrome 5K & Walk–  The Step Up for Down Syndrome 5K and Family Walk is the biggest fundraising event for The Down Syndrome Partnership of North Texas. This event supports individuals with Down Syndrome and their caregivers through education, outreach, support, engagement, the exchange of ideas and experiences, and social opportunities.
  • October 31 Walk to End Alzheimer’s – The world’s largest event that raises awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to reclaim the future for millions.
  • November 14 JDRF One Walk – When you join one of the hundreds of JDRF One Walks across the country, the money you raise will support JDRF, the leading global organization funding T1D research.
  • November 21 Pumpkin Spice 5K, 10K, & Half Marathon – Join Run Project for the most festive fall 5k, 10k & Half Marathon of the season. Their swag is sweet and the afterparty is spicy.

New Events Coming to Panther Island Pavilion in 2020

Every year Panther Island Pavilion hosts various events such as walks, concerts, festivals and more! Each year PIP welcomes back events as well as adds on new events to our schedule. Check out some of the new events coming to PIP this year. Be sure to check back often to keep up with event announcements throughout the year.

 

SYNDICATE SMOKEDOWN APRIL 25
Syndicate Smokedown is Cowtown’s premier large-scale nonprofit BBQ competition, with live music (headliner and opening acts will be announced soon), beer and other beverages, and of course, BBQ ready for you to eat. Line-up announced soon!

 

GOTEXAN WINE, FOOD & ART FESTIVAL MAY 8-9
Over 30 local wineries with a selection of over 250 different wines made from Texas Grown Grapes. Sip a glass of wine while you shop over 50 local artists and vendors. Try craft beer from a local brewery and excite your taste buds with Texas-style eats, while listening to live music from local talent

 

RIVER & BLUES FESTIVAL MAY 15-16
The soundtrack of summer is here. Combining country and blues music over two days, this not-to-be-missed music event of the year invites you to roll with the rhythm. Hear the unique sounds of: Charley Crockett, Maddie and Tae, Kody West, Bart Crow, Samantha Fish, Ruthie Foster, Grady Spencer & the Work, Brandy Clark, Jonah Tolchin, Courtney Patton & Jason Eady, Elaina Kay, and Kirk House Band

 

JUNETEENTH COMMUNITY 5K & FESTIVAL
Join the community as we celebrate with the 5K Walk/Run, Parade, Family-friendly entertainment including music concerts, Kids Zone, Food Vendors, Outdoor Marketplace, car show, water rides and much more.

Cody Johnson Returns to Panther Island Pavilion!

Cody Johnson returns to Panther Island Pavilion in Fort Worth on June 27!

 

This will be Cody Johnson’s 5th year performing at our venue and he sure knows how to throw a party. Year after year, COJO brings sold-out shows to PIP and a great line up for concert-goers to experience. Stay tuned for his full line up announcement coming soon by visiting his website!

Fort Worth’s favorite outdoor venue welcomes new events and brings back old favorites!

 

FORT WORTH, TX – Get out your calendar and make sure Panther Island Pavilion is all over it! An eclectic bunch of events are coming to Fort Worth’s favorite outdoor event venue. The schedule is packed with old favorites and some exciting new events that will keep you coming back all year long.

 

New This Year

Syndicate Smokedown (April 25) – Cowtown’s premier BBQ competition hosted by the Fort Worth Stock Show Syndicate. Featuring cold beer, live music and of course, BBQ! You will not want to miss this showdown.

 

Go Texan Food, Wine & Art Festival (May 8 & 9) – Spend your weekend keeping it local. This event is bringing over 30 local wineries with a selection of over 250 different wines, over 50 local artists and vendors, craft beer from local breweries and live music from local talent.

 

River and Blues Festival (May 15 & 16) – This two-day summer festival cannot be missed. Picture two days of country and blues featuring a mix of old favorites and new talents such as Maddie & Tae, Charley Crockett Grady Spencer & The Work, Bart Crow and so many more amazing acts!
